R1 takes the small, discreet form factor of the Calla camera, a design Reveal pioneered back in 2017 for retail and healthcare wearers. It keeps the same comfortable, low-profile fit that made Calla so widely adopted, while introducing a range of functional upgrades to boost wearer safety in non-enforcement environments.

Battery Life

With up to 10 hours of recording on a single charge, R1 is built to last a full shift without needing a top-up. Whether you're using it for a short patrol or an extended working day, enhanced battery life means the camera is there when you need it most.

Pre-Record Buffer

R1 can capture up to 2 minutes of footage before the record button is even pressed, ensuring the moments leading up to an incident are never lost. This pre-record buffer is fully customisable, so you can tailor how much footage is retained to suit your organisation's policies and needs.

SOS Function

In an urgent situation, the SOS button lets wearers send an immediate alert to their security control room or Alarm Receiving Centre via DEMS 360 over Wi-Fi. This helps expedite a response when it matters most, giving wearers extra peace of mind and support teams the information they need to act quickly.

Bluetooth Activation

R1 supports Bluetooth activation, allowing recording to be started remotely and discreetly. This makes it easier to begin capturing footage the moment it's needed, without fumbling for the device itself.

AI Readiness

Built with the future in mind, R1 comes enabled for upcoming AI capabilities. As these features become available, R1 will be ready to support them, helping your organisation stay ahead as body camera technology continues to evolve.

Build Improvements

Reveal has made a series of design refinements to increase R1's robustness compared to the original Calla camera. These include an improved red slider switch for more reliable activation, a stronger magnet casing for a secure fit, and upgraded screen material that better withstands everyday knocks and scratches.

Where your environment or policy calls for it, R1's screen can be kept on to maximise deterrence and transparency with the public. Being able to see themselves on screen often encourages more positive interactions, while giving wearers full visibility of what's being recorded.
